I just finished reading Double Blank, and I need the sequel immediately!

This was my first time reading a dystopian novel, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But since I loved Elise’s first book, I knew I was in for a treat. Needless to say, Elise has once again created a masterpiece.

I cannot tell you how much my heart breaks for Jorah. He went through so much in this book, yet he managed to grow as a person. His character was crafted beautifully, and I loved every bit of his journey.

The woman-centered society was a refreshing concept. It was fascinating to imagine a world so different from my own. But there was also a lot that made me angry, which is why I found myself rooting for rebels like Joran, Wen, Logan, and Melissa.

The side characters were amazing! Toby, my god, I loved him so much! Despite his actions, he remains one of my favorites, alongside Jorah and Nye.

Elise’s writing is incredibly gripping, keeping me glued to my seat the entire time. Even though I’ve finished the book, I’m still craving more. The sadness laced through certain scenes hit me hard, yet the underlying hope for a better future gave me a sense of comfort.

I’m not sure if this tops Elise’s first book for me, but I’m so glad I gave it a shot despite my unfamiliarity with the genre. If you enjoy dystopian thrillers with emotional depth and complex characters, Double Blank is a must-read!
